ADA GUIDE
The SMG staff of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome work diligently to comply with the Americans with Disabilities Act to provide a safe and enjoyable event experience for all patrons. Below you will find information about ADA accommodations for parking, seating, wheelchairs and other areas of interest.
 
Please note that specific ADA information can vary slightly from one event to the next. Always check the Event Calendar for any ADA information pertaining directly to your event.

We strive to make your event experience as comfortable as possible. If there are ways in which we may improve our services, we encourage you to contact our ADA Facilitator (details below). Thank you for your patronage. We look forward to serving you again in the future.

ADA FACILITATOR

For questions regarding accessibility, you may contact our ADA Facilitator at (504) 587-3916 or ada@smgneworleans.com. We can also be reached via mail at: Sugar Bowl Drive, New Orleans, LA 70112. Requests for aid and services should be made at least ten (10) business days prior to the event. The ADA Facilitator may be unable to fill a request if made less than ten (10) business days in advance of the event.
 

ADA GREETERS

ADA Greeters are members of our Guest Services staff who are specifically designated to assist disabled patrons and their companions during major Superdome events. They can be identified by the teal vest and bright blue badge they wear showing the ADA wheelchair icon. Because they are actively assisting patrons during events, ADA Greeters move throughout the building. Patrons who need help locating an ADA Greeter can ask any Guest Services Representative for assistance.

 

ADA PAMPHLET
For more information on ADA accommodations at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and Smoothie King Center, please refer to our ADA Pamphlet. This pamphlet is also available at any Guest Services desk during events, which are located at Gates A, C, E and G on the Plaza, Loge and 300 Levels, and Gates C and G on the 400 and Terrace Levels of the Superdome. (Guest Services desk locations are indicated on our seating charts.)
 
ASSISTIVE LISTENING DEVICES
Assistive Listening Devices are available at the Guest Relations Center located at Gate A Plaza Level, at the Guest Services Desk at Gate C Plaza, or by calling (504) 587-3916. A valid driver's license or state ID card is required in order to check out the device. Identification will be returned to the patron upon return of the device following the event. AUXILIARY AIDS AND SERVICES

Guests requiring services other than those described on this page and in our ADA Pamphlet should contact the ADA Facilitator at (504) 587-3916 or ada@smgneworleans.com. We can also be reached via mail at: Sugar Bowl Drive, New Orleans, LA 70112. Requests should be made at least 10 business days prior to the event. The ADA Facilitator may be unable to accommodate such requests made less than 10 days in advance due to time and coordination constraints.

DROP-OFF AND PICK-UP AREA

During events, the Mercedes-Benz Superdome's disabled drop-off and pick-up area is located at Gate A Ground (on Sugar Bowl Drive parallel to Poydras Street.) Click here for an exterior map showing the drop-off and parking locations.

ELEVATORS

ADA-accessible elevators are available throughout the building. Elevator locations are as follows:
  • Elevators 1, 2, and 2A are located between Gates A and C
  • Elevators 3 and 4 are located between Gates C and E
  • Elevators 6, 7, and 7A are located between Gates G and E
  • Elevators 8, 8A, and 9 are located between Gates A and G
Elevators service all levels with these exceptions: Elevators 2A, 7A and 8A do not service the Ground or 600 Levels; Elevators 3 and 4 do not service the Ground Level. Elevator locations are also indicated on our seating charts.
 
*Note: Elevators 7 and 8 have limited availability for ADA patrons on Saints game days.

GUEST SERVICES ON EVENT DAY
For any questions or concerns during an event, please contact the nearest Guest Services Representative (i.e. Usher, Ticket Taker or Security staff) or approach a Guest Services desk for assistance. Guest Services desk locations are as follows:
  • Gates A, C, E and G on the Plaza, Loge and 300 Levels
  • Gates C and G on the 400 and Terrace Levels

PARKING
ADA parking is located on the top and bottom levels of each garage with wheelchair accessible ramps. Additionally, there is parking available in Lot 3 along the fence closest to the Smoothie King Center. To gain access to ADA parking, proper vehicle registration is required as well as a current disabled placard with a matching identification card. Please refer to your particular event on the Event Calendar to find more specific ADA parking information.

RESTROOMS

Accessible facilities are provided on all levels of the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Accessible restrooms are also located on the Ground Level outside the Northeast and Northwest tunnels.

SEATING
Wheelchair accessible seating, semi-ambulatory seating and removable armrest seating are located in various sections and levels throughout the Mercedes-Benz Superdome. Please identify yourself as a disabled guest upon purchasing tickets. Only three companions/escorts may accompany a disabled guest into designated seating areas. SEATING RELOCATION POLICY

If you buy or intend to buy an event ticket
on the secondary ticket market that is not for a designated accessible seating location, or if you are using a New Orleans Saints season ticket holder's non-accessible ticket for an individual Saints game, please call the Superdome Box Office at 504-587-3822 for information on seating relocation. You should call several days before the event or game to give you the best chance to be relocated to accessible seating.
 
Please be aware that while SMG will attempt to accommodate you however possible, we cannot guarantee that there will be an available relocation seat for you. SMG does not manage ticket sales for all events, and we cannot guarantee the availability of additional seats at events, particularly those events that are sold out. If you encounter an issue during an event with your ticket or seating, please go to your nearest Guest Services desk, which are located Gates A, C, E and G on the Plaza, Loge and 300 Levels, and Gates C and G on the 400 and Terrace Levels of the Superdome. SERVICE ANIMALS
Trained guide dogs and service animals assisting guests with disabilities are permitted inside the Superdome and Center. Please identify such animals to Guest Services staff upon entry.

WHEELCHAIRS

The Mercedes-Benz Superdome has a limited number of wheelchairs available on a first-come, first-served basis. A valid driver's license is required to check out a wheelchair. Wheelchairs may be checked out at the Guest Relations Center located at Gate A Plaza Level. (Click here for a map of our Plaza Level indicating the location of the Guest Relations Center.) Wheelchairs cannot be reserved in advance. The Superdome does not provide escort personnel for patrons using wheelchairs.

COMMENTS
Comments or questions regarding the provision of services to patrons with disabilities should be directed to our ADA Facilitator at (504) 587-3916, ada@smgneworleans.com, or by mail at: Sugar Bowl Drive, New Orleans, LA 70112. The ADA Facilitator will make reasonable efforts to resolve complaints informally. If a guest wishes that a complaint be investigated, please submit the complaint in writing.
