A few alternate routes when exiting the area toward I-10 West include:

  • Cypress St. to Tulane Ave. (enter I-10 West at Carrollton St.) via Julia St. and Galvez St.
  • Dave Dixon Dr. to Loyola Ave. to access the Pontchartrain Expressway
  • (I-10 West).
  • Poydras St. (Lake Bound) via Clara St. or LaSalle St. and to access I-10 West from the Poydras St. on-ramp.

Patrons attending events at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Smoothie King Center and Champions Square during this time should prepare for egress to be impacted. SMG will work with the NOPD to have additional officers present during egress periods to mitigate the traffic congestion. Alternate exit routes will be in place beginning Feb. 2 for patrons leaving parking garages at the Superdome after events at the SMG-Managed Complex.
